There's no question about it, this is inventive! Although you have a tendency to let go at the first trial, little by little you notice that the compositions are intelligent and most of the time interesting. Evolving in a thrash style, these four Frenchmen didn't hesitate to incorporate some prog, epic and folk influences to give it this “Fantasy” side that is so becoming to their lyrics crammed with trolls, dwarfs, elves, sorcerers and many more… Elvaron's technical level is rather advanced and some parts are reminiscent of Iron Maiden but just for a while, ‘cause you soon discover other – even more wacky – plans than Maiden's and you realize that there still are guys who can use their instruments to their full extent. Since this album is very long, you get a more than decent helping! Good CD!
