Self production
This album has been composed like a conceptual one. The main themes are heroic & fantasy battles. It's a story based on a magician & a warrior. Musically speaking, Elvaron is no more another Rapshody's clone or Manowar too. Their music is more axed to thrash metal. It sounds like old Megadeth. A good compromise between powerful & melodies. May be this come from the vocals line. There's 2 kind of vocals in this album. Main one is really thrash & if this voice was louder, it could be sound like death metal vocals at the beginning of this style. Here, it sounds 1ike a young but more clever Dave Mustaine vocals. But there's another voice, more melodic (I must say that Spasmophilius, Scarve & later Horizon use 2 kind of vocals in their music too). The melodic voice will better remain Scarve than Spasmophilius. It's a middle tone voice. There are excellent solis in each songs. As guitarist is really good, he creates long solis which allows a good progression for music's surroundings. Sometimes it can remain Iron Maiden like in Spelll & Swords and later it strongly sounds like old Metallica (Exhumation ...not so sad begins for example like in Creeping Death). The most impressive with Elvaron is their ability to build complexive structure without be boring like often bands. So, Elvaron is definitly a band to follow on the metal scene. Their first album shows a high level of composition & experimentation. If their basis are classical, they succeed in finding some elements that make this album original. It's a really good invest |
